Who We Are

We started NOEMÍ with a simple desire: to create leather pieces that endure as long as the words they carry. From that vision, a small atelier was born. What began as an idea slowly became a devotion, to leather, to craft, and to the belief that one well-made object should outlast many.

Every journal cover at NOEMÍ is made by hand, by a team of fewer than ten, who pour care into each piece from start to finish.

About our work ethic

Every journal cover is hand stitched with waxed linen thread for a stitch that’s built to last. Each edge is hand beveled to create a soft, rounded profile that feels as good as it looks, then burnished by hand until the leather develops a smooth, clean gloss that only comes from time and pressure applied with care.

About Our Leather

Before a single cover was ever made, NOEMÍ began with a search. We spent considerable time researching leathers until we found one we could truly stand behind: a material that ages gracefully, tells the story of its owner, and only grows richer with every passing year. That search led us to Buttero by Conceria Walpier, a full-grain Italian leather prized for its natural texture, remarkable depth of color, and the way it develops a beautiful patina that is entirely its own.

Why NOEMÍ?

  • We believe in everything we make. Every journal cover that leaves our hands was created with a specific person in mind: you. Each journal cover is crafted individually, by hand, from the first cut of leather to the final burnish. That's not a selling point, it's just how we work. The difference shows up in the details, the hand-stitching, the smooth beveled edges, and in the leather chosen for its beauty and character. When you hold one of our journals, you're not holding inventory. You're holding something made.

  • We work with real leather, real waxed linen thread, and techniques that have stood the test of time. There is nothing synthetic in what we make, and nothing that exists merely to cut a corner.

  • We started NOEMÍ because we believed there was still a place for things made slowly, with care, and meant to last. Every journal cover we make is a reflection of that belief and a quiet refusal to accept a world where products are designed to wear out, fall apart, and be replaced.
